US Attorney Criminal Division Threats

Addendum 11 Sep 2001: This webpage was published in www.Justice-Denied.net, almost one year before some 3,000 innocent Americans would be incinerated in The World Trade Center terrorist attack of 911. What could have been more prophetic?

Chief of US Attorney Criminal Division Southern District Reaches New Low. Attempts to Rig a Civil Trial to protect the US Department of Justice Immigration and Naturalization Service. Bullies Disabled former USDOJ INS Whistleblower, Brutalized for efforts in Fighting terrorist friendly Corruption. Threatens Arrest and Prosecution if Caryl Leventhal's website justice-denied.net isn't censored to place USDOJ in more favorable light and their enabling an impending terrorist threat to America.

On September 22, 2000 Caryl Leventhal's attorney received a telephone call from a "Mr. Alan R. Kaufman," who identified himself as Head of the US Attorney Criminal Division. He asked Ms. Leventhal's lawyer to inform her husband Michael of the following:

1. The US Attorney's office Criminal Division is watching the site www.Justice-Denied.net and doesn't like what they read.

2. Mr. Leventhal is "walking the line" of his First Amendment freedoms.

3. "We" [US Attorney's Office Criminal Division] know he [Mr. Leventhal] has legally registered guns.

4. They are very annoyed that www.Justice-Denied.net is critical about the way employees and actions of the US Department of Justice are being portrayed, with arrest and prosecution possible.

Mr. Leventhal asked Ms. Leventhal's attorney to supply Mr. Kaufman with the following reply:

(1) He is overjoyed that the US Attorney's Office finds Caryl's site www.Justice-Denied.net so interesting. It has become truly international and it will be his pleasure to let the world know just how much the US Attorney's office loves "surfing" the net for provocative sites.

(2) Mr. Leventhal is not "walking the line" of his First Amendment freedoms. The last time Mr. Leventhal read the Constitution, the First Amendment was not open to free interpretation by the US Department of Justice.

(3) Eric Fisher, Assistant US Attorney Civil Division, is a public official in a position of public trust. His actions and legal motions are being reported to the letter, with editorial comment that is guaranteed by the First Amendment. The Head of the US Attorney's Criminal Division may feel that it is open to HIS interpretation rather than the court system but Mr. Leventhal does not. And furthermore, Michael Leventhal is not changing one word of Justice-Denied.net. If you think a crime is being committed, why don't you attempt to arrest him. And why don't you also arrest his disabled wife Caryl. She has veto power over everything that is published. Go ahead, you stinking coward and subverter of the US Constitution and American safety.

(4) If Mr. Eric Fisher, US Attorney feels slandered, he can always file suit against Mr. Leventhal. And slander is civil rather than criminal, so what business is it of the US Attorney's Office Criminal Division other than intend (and unsuccessfully so) to intimidate.

(5) Lieutenant Colonel Leventhal openly admits that the Leventhals live in an armed home. The Leventhal household has received numerous "crank calls" and even a death threat during Caryl Leventhal's continuing battle with USDOJ in federal court. After reporting these incidents to USDOJ Attorneys via Certified Mail, the USDOJ has still taken no action. And they haven't, in the hopes of either frightening Ms. Leventhal (a disabled woman suffering from Multiple Sclerosis) into dropping the case or making her too sick through fear to continue with her law suit. And to be perfectly blunt, it's none of USDOJ's business since the Leventhal's are an upstanding and peaceful middle-class family exercising their freedoms under the United States Constitution.

(6) And why are you conducting illegal FBI checks to verify his gun registrations when he has committed no criminal acts? He also collects geological minerals, paleontological fossils, old books and old records. Are they subject to scrutiny also? And what about his wife's doll collection? Are they all somehow subversive?

(7) As an American citizen, Mr. Leventhal does not like your attempting to rig a impending trial some three days prior to its opening. In his world, attempting to taint testimony of a witness and plaintiff is a criminal act. As the husband of a disabled woman, Michael Leventhal finds your coercion to be a sordid and diabolical attack on the health and well being of his wife... a woman with Multiple Sclerosis. Selling Green Cards and issuing of visas without background checks by the US Department of Justice's Immigration and Naturalization service leaves America open to terrorist attacks. You might not care, but we do. And we will continue to make what is going on public, in spite of Justice Department threats.

(8) Isn't this obstruction of justice and isn't that against the law? Or is the US Attorney's Office above the law?

(9) If agents of the USDOJ attempt to invade the Leventhal's apartment and therefore pose a physical or psychological threat to his sickly wife, Mr. Leventhal will defend the woman he loves with all force necessary. He won't let you Department of Justice animals, finish the job of physical butchery and threats you began while Caryl was employed at the US Department of Justice's INS. And you can interpret this statement any way you wish.

And again... thank you Mr. Kaufman for your interest in www.Justice-Denied.net. Caryl Leventhal (the Publisher) appreciates your interest and hopes that you will visit often. She thanks you for joining her international family of supporters and hopes you will tell your friends to visit. Just lighten up! The Leventhals aren't subjects of some USDOJ imperial realm. They're a very nice middle aged couple interested in securing justice, sharing their love with each other and warning America of the US Department of Justice's enabling future terrorism in America.

And while you may gain some sordid pleasure in frightening a disabled woman and patriot, Mr. Leventhal won't be pushed around by bully tactics. So why don't you spend your time and taxpayer money fighting some genuine "bad guys" instead of harassing peaceful Americans. You'd better do it quickly, because the USDOJ INS penchant for selling Green Cards and processing visas without proper background checks (the things that Caryl Leventhal attempted to stop) is a virtual guarantee that sometime soon, thousands of Americans will become victims of terrorism.
